User Big Brother is the first season found on the MarioWiki Forums. It is based mainly off the American-based version of Big Brother, which is a reality show that is runned by CBS. It was hosted by Toad starting in September of 2011 and ended four months later in January 2012.

Format

Fourteen houseguests would be sequestered into a house for ten weeks, having many conflicted personalities and attitudes. At the beginning of each week, players would compete for power over the house known as the "Head of Household" (HoH). The player that becomes Head of Household would be immuned for the week, as well as responsible for all the nominations, pre- and post-veto.

The following day, the HoH would determine who they would nominate for eviction and place on the block. The next day players would participate for a special power known as the "Power of Veto" (PoV). The Power of Veto can "veto" one of the HoH's nominees from eviction, whether by the nominees themselves, one of the three players chosen by random in the drawing prior to the competition, or the HoH themselves. The PoV holder can also decide to leave the nominations the same. If the Veto is used, the HoH would have to make a nominate replacement that cannot be the PoV holder, in the case it is one of the two nominees or the three houseguests randomly selected.

At the end of the week, the nominees on the block would have their fellow houseguests vote for who they want evicted between the two of them. One by one, the Houseguests would cast their votes, and once all the votes are in, then the vote total would be revealed to the players, and the houseguests with the most votes would be sent out of the door, unable to return to the game under normal circumstances.

Once the house count gets down to nine players, all the players evicted from that point on would become part of the Jury of Six. The Jury members would be the sole voters when the final two remain in the house. During the finale, the Jury will place their votes in, and the remaining houseguest that has the majority of the votes would be crowned the winner of the season.

Their was no defined theme for the house as there was nothing else to base it on. It was a very basic game, having little to no surprises or twists.

Houseguests

Baby Mario Bloops - More commonly known as BMB, Baby Mario Bloops was the winner of UBB. He managed to snag Four (Five including three-part final HoH) HoH wins, which is the most so far in a single season. He also managed to win a single PoV. He was rarely nominated throughout the main chunk of the game until the game was in the last few weeks. Once they reached the final 5, he was put on the block for giving the veto to Lily, but was not evicted. Due to this compromise, Lily repaid him the favor the following week, evicting Smasher over him. In a close battle for the Final HoH, BMB managed to win it all, evicting NSM, who was going to win had he not evicted him. He managed to win the game due to his alliances he had made that helped him stay off the block.

BaseballYoshi - More commonly known as BBY, BaseballYoshi was quite a stay-low type of player. He did not win any competitions during his run, but managed to stay off the block for the first few weeks. By the time the jury point was reached, he began being targeted by the trio alliance. He was evicted in the Final 8, after Smasher used the Veto on BMB and was the nominee replacement, voted out by all the houseguests.

Javelin - Javelin was not a very lasting houseguest, being evicted during the second week. He had won no challenges, but was a very well known player amongst the houseguests. He was evicted during BMB's HoH reign, targeted by the Trio for believing he was working with Supremo.

Lily - Lily was the runner-up of UBB, missing out on victory by two votes. She kept a low profile throughout much of the game, not winning a single competition or making herself known in the house. Though it got her to the end, it was the final nail in the coffin for her defeat. She was carried along throughout much of the game, and only won a Power of Veto that was thrown for her. Though she did not win, she played a great and pure game, avoiding eviction the entire game.

Nabber - See Yoshiwaker.

New Super Mario - More commonly known as NSM, he was one of the strongest competitors in the game, and placed third, just barely missing out on the finals. He had managed to win two (three including three-part final HoH) Head of Households and Two Vetoes. He managed to avoid eviction in the Final 4 after the alliance turned against each other by winning the HoH and sending Smasher packing. He lost the Final HoH in a close battle between him and BMB, who ultimately decided to evict him. Though he did not win the most challenges, he still played a much cleaner game than BMB, who managed to be on the block more than NSM.

Pyro - See Yoshiwaker.

Quizmo - Quizmo was one of the stronger players in the game. During his HoH reign, he was the first person to decide to nominate two of the trio up for nomination, and almost sent one of them packing that week. He was evicted the following week in the Final 6 during BMB's HoH reign, receiving only Lily's vote to stay in the house.

Rocker - Rocker did not win any competitions, but nontheless managed to have a target on his back. The trio used him as a pawn to send out players they thought were working with Supremo, which he managed to survive. He almost made it to the jury before he was ultimately evicted the week before jury would start, evicted by the Trio.

Smasher - Smasher was one of the most well-rounded and competitive players in the game. He managed to make it to the Final 4, earning an HoH and three PoVs consecutively. He was never nominated until his final week by NSM. He was put up against Lily, but later was against BMB due to NSM saving Lily. Since Lily and BMB were secretly working together, she decided to evict Smasher, ending his game.

SuperMario - SuperMario was able to remain in the game for quite some time, but failed to win a single competition, though came close a few times. He was first nominated the week before jury, where he barely escaped eviction. The following week, during BMB's HoH reign, he was once again nominated, where he was evicted by everyone except for NSM.

Supremo - Supremo was quite the competitor until he ultimately decided to leave the game. He managed to win both a HoH and a PoV, both in the same week. BMB was almost backdoored by Supremo, which caused the Trio to go after people that could be associated with Supremo, and then strike down Supremo. However, Supremo left the game shortly after he was nominated during Yoshiwaker's reign as HoH.

Yoshidude - Yoshidude was another player that remained very low and had won no challenges. He was nominated during BMB's reign, but was vetoed from the box by BMB as well. The following week during NSM's HoH reign Quizmo was taken off the block, and replaced by Yoshidude, who was backdoored by a close voting result.

YoshiGo - YoshiGo managed to be in the house for only a few days before he made the decision to leave the house. He hadn't won any challenges, though he was only able to be around for the first HoH before he departed.

Yoshiwaker - Yoshiwaker - later replaced by Pyro for a week and then Nabber for two weeks - was a very strong player in the game. He won a HoH, and survived until the Final five. Though he was replaced, the Trio had actually pre-planned to take Yoshiwaker to the Final 5, which they decided when Pyro was playing. Yoshiwaker was the only one that won something, as Pyro and Nabber both did not win anything when they were in the game. His jury vote was decided by Nabber, the last active player as him.

Alliances

Throughout the User Big Brother game, many players decided to bond together and form a group known as an alliance. Creating an alliance allows for more control over how the votes will be determined, help protect people and put targets on people's back, and often dictates how the game will procceed.

Alliance Names:

  • The Trio - Created halfway through the first week, NSM, Smasher, and BMB agreed to work together to get them all the way to the final three. The alliances was very successful, all the way to the Final 4. It was ended abruptly when NSM decided to use the PoV on Lily, who subsequently evicted Smasher. However, there has been talk between each of them about who they should get rid of first in their alliance, with Smasher and BMB planning on getting rid of NSM until it failed when he got HoH that week. During the first few weeks, they were after members that could possibly be working with Supremo, who almost sent out one of them in the first week. Once Supremo was gone, they made a plan of who they wanted to evict from the Final 9 all the way to the Final 3. As a matter of fact, the plan came completely true, as they held almost all the power during those weeks.
  • Dynamic Duo - Started during the first week, Lily and BMB secretly worked together, with BMB wanting someone to take to the final two. It ended up being the most successful alliance in the entire season, making it to the Final two together as stated.
  • Waker-Quizmo Duo - A short-lived alliance that began during the first week, Yoshiwaker and Quizmo worked together for the first few weeks. The alliance quickly dissipated in response to the Trio, and was completely extinguished after Yoshiwaker's departure.
